Technology
Understanding the importance of careful surgical monitoring, Oxford Veterinary Hospital’s doctors have equipped our surgical suite so that both routine surgery and emergency surgery patients will benefit from advanced technology for tracking vital statistics. Throughout surgical procedures, our Veterinarians and staff are able to track patient blood pressure, EKG, temperature, pulse, oxygen levels, respiration, and carbon dioxide levels. Careful patient monitoring allows us to maintain the appropriate depth of anesthesia and ensure the stability of your pet.
Post-Operative Care
Following surgery, our patients are closely observed to ensure a smooth, comfortable recovery. When your pet is ready to go home, we will review your postoperative care and medication instructions. If any questions arise after your pet returns home or at any other time during the postoperative period, call us. We welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet recover fully. Help is only a phone call away.
We are also fortunate to work with the doctors at Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Service who are available for consultation and will travel to Oxford Veterinary Hospital to perform more complex procedures.
