Pet Digital Radiology
Digital x-rays assist in diagnosing illness & injury.
One of the most common and valuable medical diagnostic tools is radiography or x-rays. X-rays can be used to detect a variety of ailments including arthritis, tumors, bladder and kidney stones. They are also used to evaluate bone damage, organ integrity, and to identify foreign objects that your pet may have been eaten.
We have invested in the latest in digital imaging technology to provide efficient and accurate digital radiography for chest, abdominal, and orthopedic evaluations. If your pet becomes ill, digital radiography allows us to obtain the highest quality pictures in the shortest amount of time, leading to a quicker diagnosis and treatment plan for your pet. Our doctors will be able to review these films with you, and your pet’s radiographs will be stored safely in our database so that they can be accessed at any time. When needed, we also have the capability of having all radiographic studies sent electronically to a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist for same-day consultation.
If your pet is referred to an emergency hospital, or to a specialist, digital imaging ensures that the referral veterinarian will have current radiographs in-hand when they meet your pet. We can easily provide you with a copy of your pet’s films on a disc, or e-mail them directly to the specialist.
Using digital x-rays lets us provide our patients with superior care and supports our goal of practicing progressive, high quality medicine.
